Behind The Lens

I've spent the majority of my 44 years on this Earth like everyone else - trudging the road to happy destiny! I moved to NC from Ontario, Canada, in 2012 and I work shift work at a local Pulp Mill. I live in the country with my boyfriend, his teenage son and our 2 dogs. In the summer you can usually find us fishing the beautiful local waters of ENC and in the fall, I can be found in the woods hunting Whitetail Deer.

One thing that has always been present in my life, no matter where I am geographically, is my love for capturing life in pictures. I love the challenge that photography brings me in the objective to bring *you*, the viewer, what I see through the lens ~ and beyond. There is so much beauty around us; in nature, in an old dilapidated barn, in a child's laughing eyes, in the moment a bride first kisses her groom. I have achieved my ultimate goal when I can capture that beauty in photos and preserve memories that my clients will treasure for years to come.

Professional accolades include being a 2-time winner of the WITN Bojangles Sunrise Photo Competition and having my photo of an Alligator chosen by The North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores to be printed and displayed as a billboard as part of their 2019 advertising campaign.

"What a promising future in photography for Sarah! Her choice of setting was breathtaking and she captured it (and us!) beautifully! I can't wait to see how the rest of our photos turned out since the first few have already become my favorites of my boys and I. Thank you, Sarah, for a fun, relaxed and gorgeous session!"
